GASPORTO is an ONGD operating in Mozambique and has been working in the village of Macia (Bilene District) in Gaza Province, supporting vulnerable children and youngsters orphans with the objective of promote their integral human development through the access to education, health and other primary goods.
The children and youngsters of the village of Macia, aged between 13 and 21, who live in precarious houses without access to electricity and water, and some of them live with only one relative and rarely the income their families gain, come only from labor sthat does not come to ensure the sustenance the whole family.
These children and youngsters have a major challenge to overcame the lack of transportation, most of them have to walk 7 km every day to reach to school and for those who study in even more remote schools can spend up to 100 meticais a week on public transportation. And to perform other domestic tasks and help their families they walk 15 km thus ending up affecting their academic performance because they arrive late and tired from classes.
This campaign is intended to collect 22 bicycles that will benefit these children and young people where the bicycle will not only help in their travel, in their self-esteem, but will also help support their families in their daily tasks after school, thus allowing them to have more time to devote to their studies and explanations sessions.
This campaign will provide:

• Basic training on bicycle care and maintenance
