The KULINJI Association, based in the district of Milange in the Province of Zambézia, founded in 2004, develops activities to raise awareness among rural remote communities, promoting education, well being and care for beneficiaries who are part of the most vulnerable groups as carriers of chronic diseases diseases such as HIV / AIDS, orphaned children and people with disabilities.
The activists of the KULINJI association, walk to the various communities of Chitambo which is 18 km away, Liciro 60 km, Vulalo 20 km, Dulanha 45 km, Sabelua 65 km, Zalimba 35 km, Tengua 15 km, Dachudua 45 km and Majaua 66 km, from the headquarters of the association with the aim of raising people’s awareness, through performances of plays and meetings addressing the importance of education for orphaned children and the protection of their rights.
Due to the lack of means of transport, the activists of the KULINJI association, have faced problems in their visits as they take days to reach these locations and sometimes have to do part of these trips at night putting their own life at risk.
With bicycles, the association’s activists will be able to reach out to more communities to raise community awareness with the main objective of responding to orphaned and vulnerable children who need urgent support to go to the health center as well as to solve other specific problems.
The aim of this campaign is to collect 15 bicycles for the KULINJI association, in order to allow the activists of the association to be able to travel better to develop their activities for the welfare of the community.
This campaign will provide:
• 15 Bicycles
• Replacement Parts and Accessories
• Basic training on bicycle care and maintenance
